Kathleen Izzo Modern Man in the Renaissance
|
This origional pencil drawing, stems from my memories of living in Florence, Italy. I lived near the Piazza della Signoria, where a replica of The David, by Michaelangelo stands. I studied in Urbino, Italy for one year, where I absorbed the flavor of the Italian land. This drawing of the city and the statue David, (a character in the bible who wrote most of the Psalms),reflects a modern David in the Renaissance. He is dressed like a muscian-punker.
